Computer Software You can download a free fully functional copy of the A.I.M.S. program using the Download link near the bottom of this screen. It will expire 30 days after you start using it, but any data you create with it will be saved and will be capable of being used with the full copy of the program when you purchase it. You may give copies of the demo program to your friends, but please also give them the guide, price list, and order form. The A.I.M.S. program setup file, setup.exe, and a document file, aimsreadme.pdf, containing a very abbrebiated user guide, price list, and order form, are contained within a single zip file named aimsdemo.zip (11.3Mb) which will be downloaded when you click on the Download button. Save it to any convenient location on your PC -- preferably c:\aims\, then use Winzip to extract the two files and save them to c:\aims\. The demo version of the A.I.M.S. program is then installed by running the setup.exe file and specifying c:\aims\ as the program location. Installation includes Borland Database Engine (BDE), and you must allow it to run until the final Finish pushbutton is seen in the A.I.M.S. setup window which reappears after the Borland setup window. You will need a copy of Adobe Acrobat Reader v4.0 or later to read and print the .pdf file; it can be downloaded from www.adobe.com/acrobat if you don't already have it. The demo program has been compiled and distributed using a computer which is protected by up-to-date virus protection software.
