Technical Queries Register
The A.I.M.S. Technical Queries Register module enables you to store full details of technical queries (Query Sheets from you to your client or engineer/architect, and Requests for Information from your contractor/sub-contractors to you), to issue query sheets automatically, to record and track progress of repsonses, and to print reports of all or selected technical queries.
Add/edit technical query details: Record full details of query sheets and requests for instruction, including issuer's identification, date of issue, date response required, summary of query, full text of query, date of response, full text of response, element and work contract to which the query applies, and cross-reference (if any) of query sheet which relates to request for information.
Add/edit names & addresses of issuers and recipients: You can build up a database of names and addresses of the issuers and recipients of query sheets and requests for instruction, which is referred to automatically by the program when printing technical query sheets and reports. This database is used also by the other three modules of the A.I.M.S. program.
Create reports: Reports can be printed, viewed on the screen, or wrritten to an electronic file. Create reports of unanswered queries, overdue unanswered queries, queries and their responses sorted and selected by date, work contract, element of the work, issuer, and recipient. Listings can also be printed of the names and addressed file.
Apart from the obvious advantages of dispensing with card-index or other paper based registers, the A.I.M.S. technical queries register program gives you the benefits of simplified cross-linking between query sheets and requests for information, and reporting of unanswered queries. Neither of these facilities are readily available from manual or spreadsheet based technical queries management systems.
